THOMAS CASTELLANO ENDORSED BY THE TAMPA TRIBUNE
August 7, 2010
"The 60-year-old Castellano clearly thinks for himself. In the Republican primary for U.S. Congress District 11, the Tribune endorses Tommy Castellano." - Tampa Tribune
From The Tampa Tribune article: "Castor, Castellano, Edwards and Ross in U.S. House primaries", August 7, 2010
"Tampa native Tommy Castellano is running a shoe-string campaign but makes the most persuasive case of the four. He clearly knows and cares about the community.
Castellano grew up in West Tampa and runs Castellano Air Conditioning and Heating. He understands how federal mandates drive up costs for small business owners and their customers. He has a common-sense approach to issues and would cut Congressional salaries 5 percent every year the budget is not balanced. He supports continued offshore drilling but would maintain a sensible buffer off Florida to protect its beaches and tourist-based economy.
He thinks the nation should make greater use of clean-burning natural gas and that solar, wind and other green energy sources should be pursued, not only to benefit the environment but to create more jobs."

THOMAS CASTELLANO SIGNS PLEDGE TO PROTECT VETERANS FROM HEALTH CARE BILL
August 6, 2010
TAMPA, Florida – Today, DeFundIt.org and Iraq Veterans for Congress are releasing the attached letter signed by Thomas Castellano and twenty-five other veteran candidates for Congress calling for exempting injured veterans and their health insurance plans from ObamaCare’s medical device tax that punishes them for their service on behalf of our nation. Thomas Castellano, speaking on his call for Congressional action, said:
“We send our people to fight, they get wounded and now they have to worry about medical benefits being taken away! The very people who are sending them to war are the very people who want to take away their privileges. It’s not right. It is a shame that Castor, by voting for the passing of the healthcare bill, would impose such a burden on the people who have so selflessly committed themselves to protecting our lives, our freedom and our country.”

THOMAS CASTELLANO FOR CONGRESS UNVEILS NEW "BRAINSTORMING FOR OUR FUTURE: SOLUTIONS FOR A BETTER AMERICA" SESSIONS
April 28, 2010
Thomas C. Castellano, Republican Candidate for U.S. Congress House of Representatives, District 11, has unveiled his plans to begin hosting “Brainstorming for our Future: Solutions for a Better America” sessions. The first brainstorm session will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 5:00pm at Castellano’s campaign headquarters located at 2204 N. Armenia Ave. Tampa, FL 33607. The meeting is open to everyone, including residents of District 11.
“It is extremely important to me to find out what people are thinking and feeling,” Castellano explains. “How can anyone expect Congress to speak for the people if Congress does not listen to the people? We need to get together and come up with solutions…together.”
Thomas C. Castellano is a Republican Candidate for the Congress US House of Representatives, District 11. Castellano has been a Tampa small business owner for over 36 years and a Vietnam War veteran.

US CONGRESS CANDIDATE IS WALKING FOR CHARITIES
April 1, 2010
Thomas C. Castellano, Republican Candidate for the Congress, has decided to use his time in walking the district for more than just meeting his neighbors; he will be also doing a food drive. Castellano will start collecting non-perishable food during his walks and deliver the donations to a different shelter each week, beginning the week of April 5, 2010. Castellano's first delivery will be on Friday, April 9th, 2010 in the late afternoon to Metropolitan Ministries.
“It is so important to be involved in any way that you can. So many families are hurting right now and do not feel they are in a situation to give. At the same time, the organizations that are working so hard behind the scenes, like Metropolitan Ministries, are suffering as well. What I am saying is that if one person can donate anything, even a can of food, together, we can come together as a community and help.”
Castellano will be updating the areas he will be walking on his website and social media sites. If residents miss Castellano, they can also deliver donations to 2206 N. Armenia Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33607 or, if they cannot deliver the items, call 813-770-5216 and Castellano will pick them up.
